DiscGolf

DiscGolf has been installed at Sysonby Acres with the help of Disc Golf 4 All! This new course will encourage players of all ages to come and enjoy the outdoors whilst taking part in friendly competition.

You can book a slot or just turn up, pay & play! We do strongly recommend booking a tee time as pre-booked tee times will take priority. To do this, please call us on 01664 567846 or email enquiries@sysonbyacres.co.uk, or you can book online by clicking the button above.

DiscGolf Guidelines

  • Use of your own discs is permitted, or you can borrow one from us. A disc hire fee of £1.00 per disc is required to borrow discs.
  • Scorecards are free of charge, pencils are charged at 10p each.
  • Baskets should NOT be touched at any time other than to retrieve your disc.
  • If you have a booking for more than twelve players please arrange for one nominated player to make payment for everyone. This is to save you time when checking in for your booked tee-off time!
These measures must be respected and followed at all times.

What is DiscGolf

DiscGolf is played with flying discs and a basket instead of a golfball and hole. Scoring and play is otherwise the same!

Drivers – for long distance throws

Midrange – for shorter throws with increased control

Putters – Fine control for short throws to the basket

Each DiscGolf hole starts at the tee, our course has two difficulties per hole for a more varied experience. The tees can be anything from a line marked on grass, to a purpose built structure. Sysonby Acres has rubber tee mats installed for easier play in wet weather.
